02 / WHY MEASUREMENTS MATTER
Height Alone Cannot Predict Fit
Dolls have proportions that differ significantly from human bodies. Two dolls of the same height can have very different bust, waist, hip, and shoulder measurements. Clothing that fits one perfectly may be too tight or too loose on another.
For this reason, rely on actual body measurements rather than height alone when selecting clothing, lingerie, wigs, jewelry, shoes, or accessories.

How to Measure Your Doll
Use a soft measuring tape. If you do not have one, use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler.
HEIGHT
Top of head to sole while standing.
BUST
Around the fullest part of the chest.
UNDERBUST
Around the torso directly below the bust.
WAIST
Around the narrowest part of the waist.
HIPS
Around the widest part of the hips.
SHOULDER WIDTH
Straight across the shoulder points.
ARM / LEG
Shoulder to wrist; waistline to sole.
NECK / WRIST / FOOT
Measure at the relevant widest or narrowest point.
• Measure while the doll is standing, not sitting
• Keep the tape snug but never compress silicone or TPE
• Record every measurement in centimeters and inches
• Use a natural standing pose for movable skeletons
• For clothing, check bust, waist, and hips first

06 / FABRIC CHANGES THE FIT
Stretch, Structure, and Adjustability
Stretchy / Elastic
Offers some tolerance and easier dressing. Useful for fitted clothing and lingerie, but size still matters.
Non-Stretch / Structured
Needs more precise matching. For dresses, shirts, and jackets, slightly more room is usually safer.
Adjustable / Wrap / Open-Back
The most forgiving choice when measurements are uncertain because ties and openings offer a wider adjustment range.

Use the Garment’s Most Important Fit Point
NON-STRETCH — usually choose the larger size
STRETCH — check closures and dressing access
TOPS & DRESSES — prioritize bust
BOTTOMS — prioritize hips
WIGS — always check head circumference
SHOES — allow enough length and width
JEWELRY — prefer adjustable lengths
